After seeing Brandon cheating on him yet again, Josh returns to their room and reads. Well, we all know that he’s more stewing waiting to confront Brandon then actually reading. Check out the title of the article on the cover of this magazine: “What’s your excuse?” I didn’t notice this at first or piece together this very clever little non-verbal joke. It took a second viewing of the film for me to piece it together (just shows how slow I can be sometimes. *wink) Without coming out and asking Brandon directly, the magazine is doing Josh’s line of questioning for him, as if to ask: what’s your excuse for cheating on me THIS TIME?”

Oh, look! Another rose. Turns out Brandon has given Josh a rose for every time he cheated on him. Here's yet another one to add to Josh's growing collection, as the vase on his side of the bed shows. A rose, and that's supposed to make up for everything, to fix again a broken heart.
