At the current time, as I have stated in one of my updates, I’ve been busy compiling images from one of the world’s most stunning photographers: Howard Roffman for inclusion in a gallery project to celebrate the work of this amazing artist. Books of his black and white photography have been published and anyone familiar with his work knows of its magnificence. His homoerotic imagery is simply phenomenal…the men clothed or nude, exquisite.He has an innate ability to not only bring out a guy’s outward beauty but his inner one as well, making Roffman’s work breathtaking. His recent claim to fame are three books he has done featuring the lovely Bel Ami boys: The Boys of Bel Ami, Private Moments and The Blush of Youth. However his very first association with Bel Ami would be when he met and began taking photographs of one of Bel Ami’s much beloved and most famous models, Johan Paulik of which a book of that lovely session has also been made available. I came upon Roffman’s work through images a friend of mine had posted to his blog and I was awed by the talent of this extraordinary artist.Certainly without a doubt he’s become one of my favorites.
As I’m still in the agonizing process of choosing which images to include in this gallery, and I still haven’t decided as to the best way to present this one to you, I thought I would give you all a very small sample of some of his work. There is still some touching up I need to do on some of these, including editing in the watermarks..but I think a few teaser images couldn’t hurt for a start.
